Dead man found at home of Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny was ‘electrocuted trying to steal cables’.

The Arsenal midfielder’s dad, Nasser, discovered the body and called the police, according to reports in Italy.

The BBC report the police have said the man was attempting to steal electrical cables.

It is believed he was then electrocuted during the theft.

News website claimed that the body was found ‘in a patio’ of the home.

The Egypt international joined Arsenal in January 2016 for a fee of around £5million.

He has made just 46 Premier Leagueappearances in the three and a half seasons he has been with the club.

Since then he has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in the first-team.
