This evening, Arsenal would feature in their last preseason game of the summer when they face Barcelona in the International Joan Gamper Trophy.
The Gunners have had an extensive preseason schedule facing top sides which include Fiorentina, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
This game, which he played at Barcelona’s Campaign Nou, is expected to feature a full strength side. As a matter of fact, I believe the team that will feature today would 95% likely start the opening day fixture against Newcastle.
Probable Line Up
As this would likely be a full strength Arsenal side, I expect Leno to be in goal with Mustafi and Sokratis playing as the center backs. AMN and Kolasinac (if he’s mentally ready) should play as full backs.
The problem Emery would have this season is how best to make use of the midfield players. Torreira, Xhaka, Ceballos, Ozil, Elneny, Mkhitaryan, Iwobi, Nelson will all be vying for place in the team – depending on the formation. That’s a nice problem to have if you ask me.
It remains to be seen if Pepe would be available to feature today though. Aubameyang would lead the attack as Lacazette isn’t certain to start yet.
My predicted XI are – Leno, AMN, Sokratis, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Torreira, Ozil, Mkhitaryan, Pepe and Aubameyang

Prediction
I’m not much on Octopus but I’m gong for a scored draw here. This game would test how ready we are for the new season. I expect Barcelona to be up for it even with the absence of Lionnel Messi. I quite like the fact that we are playing such quality opposition a week to the start of the season. Game should end 1 – 1 or 2 – 2.
How to watch
The game would be on Supersport but if you don’t have access to ones, you can watch live on MatchDay Web, MatchDay Live app and the new 9jagooners Mobile App.
Kick off is 7pm Nigerian Time.
