Ian Wright has tipped Burnley boss, Sean Dyche to replace Arsene Wenger when he calls it a day at Arsenal.
Sean Dyche’s side have started the season in impressive form. They’ve won 3 of their games this term, drawn another 3 losing just one. Part of those victories include wins at Stamford Bridge and Goodison Park.
Burnley currently lie in 6th place, levelled on points with Liverpool and one one point below Arsenal. This superb run is what made Ian Wright believe Dyche would fit well for the Gunners.
Speaking on BBC 5 Live, the Arsenal legend said, “I believe he is somebody that needs to go, at some stage, to the next level.”
He further went on to say he will take him at Arsenal but doesn’t think he’d be offered the job.
“Yeah. The fact is, would they give Sean Dyche that job?”
“In respect to how his team sets up when they’re defending, he’s obviously got acumen – but will he get a job like that? I don’t think he will.”
Wright also thinks the Englishman is a potential English National Team Manager.
“They’ll probably start touting him for the England job,” he said.
“We’re so bereft of any manager that’s good enough, that can take on the England job. If he carries on like he is he’ll probably be pushed into that role.”
Well, Dyche might be a good fit for the Three Lions, but for Arsenal, I don’t think so.
