Arsenal defender, Laurent Koscielny, has given up hope on winning the title this season. Fair enough.
The Gunners were hoping to get their title assault back on track when they visited Stamford Bridge on Saturday, they got spanked instead.
The 3 – 1 loss at Chelsea increased their gap to the top by 12 points and automatically ended their title aspiration.
Speaking to KFR Sport, Koscielny appeared to disagree with the way his team was set up and believe the Gunners should have played more like a team.
“I think we played some players in front of others and I think we should have played more as a team and there was space to do so. They hit us on the counter.”
“It will be difficult now. Mathematically, nothing is done but we know that it is going to be very complicated.
“We need to come back to the quality of our game, our passing, movement.”
With the title assault all but over, Arsenal will need to get themselves back on track before they play Hull City in the Premier League, Bayern Munich in the Champions League and Sutton United in the Emirates FA Cup over the next couple of weeks.
No pressure lads. No pressure.
