Arsenal goalkeeper, Petr Cech has had his name included in the Guinness Book of Records for being the goalkeeper with the most clean sheet in the history of the English Premier League.

The legendary goalkeeper set the new Premier League clean sheets record with his shutout in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth last December and his effort has now been recognized by the Record Body.

Although, most of the clean sheets were at Chelsea, he might not have won the award if he stayed there as he was demoted to being backup by then manager, Jose Mourinho,

Cech also set another record as the first goalkeeper to win the Golden Glove with two different clubs – Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Czech man expressed his delight at this feat via Twitter. See tweet below:

As at the time the book went to print, the clean sheet record stood at 174 but we know he has surpassed that.

Good one, Petr. More to come hopefully beginning with the game against Swansea on Saturday .
