Just when you think things are getting clearer with regards to the signing of Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi, it looked like we might not actually sign him.

All through the day, there had been series of contradicting media reports. According to Skysports, the deal is imminent. Then came the Mirror report claiming that Valencia have not entered into negotiation with any club.

This evening however, respected BBC journalist and the one who has the final say on any Arsenal signing, David Ornstein said a fee has not been agreed even though the player is keen to join.

This recent development is not a good one for Arsenal as we are short defensively as evidenced in the loss to Liverpool.

‘The Ornacle’ claimed we are considering Bayer Leverkusen’s Omer Toprak and Simon Kjaer of Fenerbahce. A news also confirmed by Skysports

Whoever the club signs, we can only hope they get him in as soon as possible as we can’t afford to be lightweight in that position.

An Arsenal fan since God-knows-when. Cool, loving and fun to be with. Hater of Chelsea, Tottenham (nothing to hate about them but I hate them anyway) and now Manchester United (depending on how 'moureen' comports himself)
