As if the defeat to Liverpool on the opening day of the season wasn’t enough, the football gods have struck again as there are reports Welsh midfielder, Aaron Ramsey could be out for 4 weeks.
This means the player will be out until after the first international break. During that period Aaron Ramsey will miss games against Leicester City and Watford for Arsenal and also Wales World Cup Qualifier against Moldova.
Ramsey, who started the game against Liverpool was replaced with Santi Cazorla later on. A club spokesman confirmed “Aaron has a hamstring injury and is being assessed.”
Arsene Wenger also admitted to having a part to play in the latest setback to the Arsenal squad as he pushed the player too much.
“I pushed Ramsey in and he got injured. It’s a very difficult situation to sort out because the players come back late because of the Euros and, on top of that, you play them and they get injured. If you don’t play them you miss them.”
With this latest addition to the treatment room, one can understand why the manager doesn’t want to risk playing some of the players who were on international duty at the Euros.
Ramsey’s injury won’t be much felt as there is an abundance of talent in that position.
