New Tottenham Hotspur’s signing, Victor Wanyama has told Arsenal fans in Kenya to ditch The Gunners for The Lilywhites. The former Celtic man joined in a 5-year deal deal reported by the BBC to be worth £11 million.
According to reports, Arsenal enjoys the honour of being the most popular team in Kenya and the fact Wanyama has now joined their arch-rivals Spurs will be a disappointment for many Arsenal fans in Kenya who would have loved to see their national team captain in the Gunners’ colours.
Speaking at a party hosted for him by Multichoice and DSTV to celebrate the move, Wanyama has a simple message for Arsenal fans, change allegiance, as Tottenham are set to conquer North London. Funny, isn’t it?
“There can only be one big team in North London and it is going to be Tottenham. I know there are a lot of Arsenal fans in Kenya but they should now shift their support to Spurs since I will be there next season and I will not disappoint them,” Wanyama was quoted by Kenyan website Media Max Network.
Where have we heard that before? LOLOLOLOLOLOL
Last season NEARLY saw Tottenham finish ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League, but they threw it away with a poor run of form toward the end of the season, eventually finishing third to Arsenal’s second a two-horse title race. As a matter of fact, they have never finished above Arsenal in two decades. Remarkable, isn’t it?
I think it’s about time Spurs concentrated on actual football and forget about Arsenal. We are not in the same league and the earlier they realize that, the better for them. If they can’t finished above Arsenal in our worst season and their best in living memory, then it doesn’t look like they will ever. Even if they are deluded by the media about the balance of power shifting.
